Counseling at the Expat Psychologist

When do I need to consult a psychologist?
This is a question that many people with feelings of discomfort ask themselves. The answer is surprisingly simple. As soon as you start to wonder whether or not you should see a psychologist is when you should make an appointment to see one, or to see your GP.

As you ask yourself this question, you have not only admitted to yourself that something might be wrong, but you are also motivated to change it. In fact, you have already taken two of the more difficult steps in the counseling process.

Asking for help can be difficult
We understand that you might be hesitant. Many people are. You wonder whether your feelings, emotions or behavior really are an indication that you have a problem. Is it really all that bad? Shouldn’t you be able to work through this yourself?

You have those thoughts because you can’t gauge your feelings; you don’t know how other people feel on the inside.

Nevertheless, you and you alone can evaluate your quality of life. That’s why your inner feelings are always spot-on. This is something that you can be sure of. If you’re stuck, you’re stuck. If you’re in pain, you’re in pain. If you need help, you need help.

And it is best to act now. If you don’t do something about it, things might go from bad to worse.

We believe in you
The Expat Psychologist operates on the basic principle that you already possess all the qualities and talents that you need to overcome this situation.
